Since becoming a Father to two beautiful girls I found my self entertaining more and more Children, thanks to all the Parties. I never realised how many parties Children get invited to and how you end up seeing the same Childrens Entertainers.

The kids have a busier social life than we do.

One of the things I noticed was the kids loved the daft magic and silly stuff I got up to making them all laugh.

It wasn’t long before my daughter’s friends were asking me to me to entertain for them at their Birthday party.

It’s been years since I did any kind of kids entertainment so I was a little unsure as I have been performing for Adults and families for years and didn’t know if Childrens parties would be for me.

Or rather, would I be capable, after 20+ years doing other things…?

Eventually I gave up making excuses nont to do parties for other people and decided to give it a go.

I LOVE IT!!

I’m not your typical Children’s Entertainer, I do perfom Amazing Magic (I think it’s amazing) and I’m told my jokes are terrible ( I like them, so do the kids.)

The Disco comprises of the PA I use for my grown up shows and I play music using either my laptop or iPod, I have Lights and Lasers and the whole package is small enough to fit in a large living room and big enough for a Church or Village Hall.

It really is a Magic Mini Disco.

The Music I play is varied and the Children love it when I play songs their Mums used to dance to when they were kids, such as the Locomotion, Grease Megamix, Agadoo and all that jazz and then I play newer stuff they will know such as Bob the Builder, The Fast Food Song, Cha Cha Slide etc..

Whatever music I play, I’m up dancing with them, I need the exercise!

Then, if we have time, I have a rest by telling stories. Usually a story by Dr Seuss for the little ones (Cat in the Hat or Green Eggs and Ham) or Roald Dahl Short Stories for the more adventurous and a bit older.

The Magic is usually very silly, I’m always trying to make my magic work, but usually I need sometone to help me make the magic. On my own, not so much. I’m Not a Clown and I don’t dress like one, but that doesn’t stop me from Clowning about.

The Tricks are anything from making Hankies change colour to vanishing toys, magic rings, balloons and other tricks that they can help me do at the Birthday Party.

For your piece of mind I have Full Public Liability Insurance, my Equipment is PAT Safety tested and I am a member of Equity, The International Brotherhood of Magicians, the Bristol Society of Magicians, The Federation of Small Businesses.

I am not CRB checked as this is something that many perfomers think is a waste of time as I would never ask to be left alone at Children’s Parties (I’m not a babysitter ) and as I am a professional performer who only works locally with my kids show, I thought I should point this out.
